47164
I am in the process of repainting an 86 body , and I can't make out from the numerous photos out there if the cab roofs were black as per the doors and cab Windows's ? Or is it just a case that they got dirty so quickly that a roof dirt colour would be best ? ...any clues ? Or were they painted a very deep grey to match the band on the top of the body. RMweb Premium 37058 Posted October 25, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 25, 2016 Hello. Executive dark grey would of been applied to the roof. Also a mistake that a few people make is the colour of the body side grills. These were also painted exec dark grey, not black. Photos of the real thing can be very misleading. For example the 3 large body side grills on the class 60s when new in 3 tone grey were all executive dark grey, same as the roof colour. Moving down the body, flint grey band and rail grey for the lower body side. Standard matt black for the cab windows and doors. Hope this helps. Cheers, Anthony
