BlackRat
I've been asked to convert a couple of Lima rail cars into a GWR twin set. Now I seem to recall someone did (Westdale? Cavendish?) a suitable set of parts to enable a cut and shut model to be made but can't for the life of me remember who it was..... Anyone help? Thanks. hayfield
Westdale did a twin kit, Chris Parish has stated he has no plans to reintroduce these kits, may be worth an email to see if he has any spare castings though
rovex
It is possible to do a cut and shut using three railcar bodies. I know because I bought someone else's attempt and a good one it is. I can try and dig out the model and see if I can photo the insides to show where the cuts are. Alternatively it might be as simple to compare the model with some decent drawings. I did have the westward kit but sold it after buying this one.

Does not Wild Swan publish a GWR Railcar book, perhaps your local Library would get one in for you, or a friend may lend you a copy Found it https://www.amazon.co.uk/History-Great-Western-Diesel-Railcars/dp/1906419116 Also https://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=19152648416&searchurl=tn%3Dgreat%2Bwestern%2Bdiesel%2Brailcars%26sortby%3D17%26an%3Djudge https://www.abebooks.co.uk/products/isbn/9780906867303?cm_sp=rec-_-o_p_1_fallback_v-_-plp&reftag=o_p_1_fallback_v These books are a bit dear (most are anyway) but I guess most of the cost could be recouped by resale of the item This Ngauge forum thread may help http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=29714.
RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted November 4, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 4, 2016 Worsley Works sell etched replacement sides, I think it does still need a third body shell to provide the extra roof though.
