Hi Ross, your layout is coming along nicely. I have a similar design in hand at the moment, although I am some way behind you in the construction. Mine too will be dcc as this is new technology to me since I last played around with model railways.

Keep up the good work.

Brian

At the risk of sounding picky, I don't think that you would find a relay cabinet where you have put yours.

Although it's only sidings you wouldn't have it between tracks so the maintainer can get to it when all roads are full/there are trains moving.

It would be be more likely to be to one side.

On a small yard that size I would also say it would also be more likely that any points would be worked by hand by the yard shunter so no point motors anyway.

The usual speed limit in sidings is 15mph.

Don't think you would need a sign for that but you could put one by the bridge?

You could maybe have a sign for the exit by the bridge that says "Stop and phone signaller" or similar for the loco driver to get permission to leave the yard? Maybe a ground signal?

Ask on the relevant forum on here.

Hope this helps.
