millerhillboy
I didn't mean to worry you. I'm a belt and braces kinda guy, in my opinion it's much better to prevent warping first rather than fix warping after, just think you only need a couple of degrees of deflection to experience problems. Griff I am as well being an engineer to trade, I just left this one up to dads friend but I think you've got a point though once the board starts getting leaned on etc
DCMarvel
Lay them out, work out the track plan as accurately as possible then after seeing where point motors and any other items you may need to fasten under the boards go, add a few extra strengtheners. They don't have to be equi-distance or even parallel, you can do a spiders web under there if needed, but if you do too many first sods law will make them all be just in the wrong place and then you alter and compromise your track plan so are on the road to an unsatisfactory layout almost before you start.
