Evening All,

I was on holiday in North Norfolk in August, so paid a couple of visits to the North Norfolk Railway. My photos are now on Flickr and this is the link if anyone would like to see them:

Hope that they are of interest.

You've got some nice photos there '45669'. Being a volunteer for the NNR has the perks of knowing some good places of getting a good lineside photo, during 2015/16 armed with my lineside pass here are some results...

It's a hard life living in Sheringham! The N2 has now been withdrawn for its 10 year overhaul, the Y14 (J15) and vintage and Quad-arc sets put to "bed" for the winter .

Paul

I didn't feel very optimistic when the N2 was brought in, saying the N2 will be fitted with mainline equipment be used on the cromer dinning trains top n' tailed with the 4MT '76084', only for the N2 to be withdrawn for it's 10 year overhaul. But the lineside fire this summer on the NNR saw plates wobble everywhere.

Anyway to the spring of 2016 and we find Ring Worm running the service train while the DMU shoe horns it's way inbetween. The clearners have got top marks from me looking at the state of ring worm while leaving Weybourne.

The latest offering from the M&GN Society photo vault.

As a side note I have in the past tried to research where the ex-loco of the M&GN Society/North Norfolk Railway have gone. It would seem No 5470 'Colwyn' has been at the Northampton & Lamport Railway since 1985 > https://preservedbritishsteamlocomotives.com/kitson-works-no-5470-45-colwyn-0-6-0st/ . But looking on the Northampton & Lamport Railway stock list > https://www.nlr.org.uk/about-nlr/stock-list/ nothing of show. All the ex-loco's very hard to track down.

If you have enjoyed these photos, of a small part of the M&GN rail system, then why not check-out 'M&GN in Colour' Showing large parts of the M&GN in Norfolk and the surrounding area. Perfect inspiration for any railway modeller or simply to look through a captured moment in time.

Both the pictures with the metcamm are rare as it shows weybourne with the very short lived flat bottomed rail

The last picture shows what a waste it was as the up side disconnected.
