Clearing Roco Multimaus memory?

pierre

Recommended Posts

I have just started to have some weird things happening with my Roco Multimaus system ( after 2 to 3 years trouble free operation) as follows:

1. loco stops, screen goes blank, screen comes back on and loco goes again albeit with the light switched off.

2. Same as above but twice now concurrently with above, another loco elsewhere on the track takes off at speed.

3. My favourite loco just stopped dead. Lights working but no locomotion. All other locos working fine.

I spoke with a mate who has a Lenz system and he informs me with his system this is a sign that the black box memory is full and needs clearing.

I have been through the Roco book (that is hard, for me anyway, to understand) but cannot find anything about memory clearing.

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction please.

Thanks Dutch_Master. I managed to do a Reset but unfortunately the dead loco is still dead.

I am loathe to do a factory reset at this stage when it means reprogramming all the decoders that have indivudual settings. They took some time to set up and I cannot find my cheat sheet of settings.

I might wait and see if anyone alse has had the problem and whether a factory reset cured it for them.

Hopefully the Reset will have cured the other problems that have appeared recently.

Hi

A factory reset on the Multimaus should not change the programmed values in the decoders or are you talking about something that you have setup in the Multimaus?

Cheers
