D8134 info

Hi all looking for more info on D8134 I know it was scrapped in the 90s but what services did it do? And where was it based?

http://www.brdatabase.info/locoqry.php?action=locodata&id=8134&type=D&loco=8134 gives a precis of its history. It's fairly safe to say it spent its days hauling freight around the Midlands, perhaps sometimes working excursions to the seaside in the summer.

OK thanks a lot so mineral and coal trains?

Mainly, though there'd be other types of freight as well. I remember going to Toton Yard and Depot on a BR-sponsored course over the Easter vac in 1972- the place had wall-to-wall EE Type 1s. Quite breath-taking for someone who had seen only the odd pair of them at places like Gloucester up until then. If you're looking to model the beast, then a train with some of the recently-announced 24.5t minerals and hoppers would be just the ticket.
