ClikC
The pro box is an add-on to the Dynamis system, not an alternative model. Yes you can edit CV's, but you cannot read the existing CV's (you need the pro box to do this), for most cases this is fine, but for complex CV values like altering back EMF you really need to be able to read back CV's. The Dynamis can only allow control of 40 locomotives at any one time. By the sounds of it, you may need a larger system to cope with all your locomotives. Ron Ron Ron
The pro box is an add-on to the Dynamis system, not an alternative model...... You're both right and wrong at the same time Matt. The "Dynamis Pro" is the correct title for the complete expanded Dynamis system. The "Pro Box" is indeed the add-on module that expands a "Dynamis" into a "Dynamis Pro". Bachmann were originally going to sell the "Dynamis Pro" (cat. no. 36-506) as a package, alongside the basic "Dynamis" (36-505), with the "Pro Box" also available to enable "Dynamis" owners to upgrade to a "Dynamis Pro". This plan was dropped at the launch of the "Pro Box". Liam, a basic Dynamis can be had for £89 from Hattons. They recently had them available for £76 (split from DCC train sets). A "Dynamis Pro" set (Dynamis plus a Pro Box) will cost at least between £220 and £230. .
