Ragtag
Hi F1p, very useful signs and a handy complement to the stations signs provided by ScaleScenes (which mainly cover BR-style signs and in-station signs such as platform numbers etc). Pleased to see Northern in there, will have to see how close I got the colours when making my custom efforts Stu
pharrc20
Very useful indeed. And if you print to a pdf writer like CutePDF then you can generate lots of different station signs and save them to your PC to print off at a later date when you need them. Craigentinny
Very nice, I'll have to come back when I get round to signs, thanks for posting. Just and idea to expand the range - why not include the West Yorkshire version of the Northern Rail sign? Just needs the WY Metro logo on the left hand side. DavidB-AU
The layout is excellent but there are a couple of small problems. Arriva Trains Wales signs should have the Cymraeg name in green above the English name in black, I think both in the same font. Some ScotRail signs have a GÃ idhlig name in green in a smaller font below the English name in black. Cheers David
RMweb Premium Chris116 Posted July 24, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 24, 2010 I just hope that the range will be extended to include Central Trains as that is the company that run the trains into the third platform on my preserved station. F1p
Craigentinny: Thank you for your suggestion, i will add it to the list of signs to be designed and uploaded in future updates to the signs. Keep watching this space for new signs! DavidB-AU: Thank you for your suggestion, it may be a good idea to create these signs seperatly to the other ones, i don't know about Wales, but definatly in Scotland, the GÃ idhlig station name is only put on West Coast Scottish signs, where the majority of GÃ idhlig speakers are found. I will research Welsh signs and add the changes to the future signs/updates to be made. Thanks for your advise and watch this space! Chris116: I will add Central Trains to the list for the next update to the signs, keep watching this space to see when this update is published! ----- Thank you very much for your comments! Etched Pixels
i don't know about Wales, All the Welsh signs are (or should be) bilingual and have been for sometime. If you go back into BR days then they were English only for the most part and also the spellings changed (eg Llanelly to Llanelli) for the Welsh ones. However the stations which have a Welsh name only (eg Llanelli) don't have it on the sign twice. Alan
