drewn
A while ago I fitted LED's to my deisel fleet. At the time I scourced them from Kent Panel Controls, sadly, no longer around. Can anyone suggest a replacement supplier? The items would be 1.7mm yellow and red lighthouse type and 3mm superbright white.
alcazar
There is a company advertising in railway modelling mags, they sell the Unimat lathe, amongst other things. They also list quite a few LEDs. Iuf you want an exact match, try either RS Components, or Rapid Electronics.
Softvark
Have a look at Rapid Electronics site http://www.rapidonline.com/ - large range of LEDs at good prices. Julian

bertiedog
Huge range of suppliers, Ebay, Maplins, the others mentioned before, they are very easy to source in the standard formats, the point to remember is that really one grade is made in each type, the seconds, which work, are graded, and some bargain LED's from EBay might be low grade, fully working, but not to a tight specification, but maybe 100% all right for models. Buy first grade if for bright lighting with white LEDs, but if a matched pair, for instance, is not needed then budget grade LEDs can be used. If it is a project that requires repeatable results, then use top grade, but again for one offs the cheaper versions will do. Cheap low grade last as long as any LED, but may burn out at a lower over voltage than the top grade version would allow. Stephen.
