Hi,

I'd read that Darlington Works had its right angled roads inside the Works converted to straight roads for diesel repairs?

where those of the main works actually converted or was this reference actually to another part of the works? Only the access to the main part of the works, the "Erecting Shop" was to a road which lead to a turntable inside the building from which locos were lifted from a road and placed further down the Works on a free Road?
