RMweb Premium Dave Searle Posted March 16, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 16, 2020 The Epsom Show at NESCOT, due to take place on 25th and 26th April 2020, has been cancelled. The Epsom & Ewell Model Railway Club has reluctantly taken this decision in the best interest of the health of all visitors, exhibitors, traders and stewards due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The government’s scientific advisers predict the peak in infections will occur in late May/early June, just after the time that the show was due to be held. The show involves a significant financial investment by Club and there was a high likelihood of either cancellation or a significantly reduced attendance. There was no prospect of being able to insure against these risks and a loss would have had serious impact on the club. We hope to be able to hold The Epsom Show at NESCOT, on 24th and 25th April 2021. We would like to thank all this year's exhibitors and traders for their support and hope they all stay safe. Regards, Dave
