WillieB
I gave up railway modelling a while ago because of lack of space when we downsized following my retirement. Recently I developed an interest in boxfile layouts and thought that this could be a way back for me so "Naewhaur" (Nowhere - I am Scottish???) came along. I wanted something that could give me a (sort of) shunting layout and based it loosely on the Inglenook style. The images show my mock ups so far with buildings and ground being produced in Adobe Photoshop then transferred to thick artists board. The baseboard is 2 boxfiles laid end to end and permanently joined together. The simple track plan if fed by a single track fiddle stick beyond the road bridge. All very simple at this stage but I am really enjoying the building and have recently got the wiring started and some shunting can be done.
RMweb Premium MAP66 Posted April 23, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 23, 2020 Looks like a great start and glad to hear you're already shunting. Looking forward to seeing more. All the best Mark
