niteshadex
For some reason when I try to login or place an order I get the error message “recaptcha validation failed, please try again”. Is this a problem with the website’s mechanics? Or are they not in business ?

Steamport Southport
Don't try to place orders with Coopercraft. Please look at this. RMweb Gold The Johnster Posted April 25, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 25, 2020 To precis, it seems that Paul Dunn, proprietor of Coopercraft, is for some reason unable to dispatch models that have been ordered and paid for. This could be because of fraudulent intent, or a mental illness or condition, or disability, or just that it's all got on top of him. One gets the impression from the conversations and dealings with him that he is adept at telling people what they want to hear, that there's a new machine, and things will be sorted out, but has repeatedly failed to actually dispatch goods while consistently taking the money from customers. Obviously, the recommendation would be to have nothing to do with this person unless you are willing to give him money for goods you do not receive. The failure of the proper authorities to deal with him, either to bring him to book or to arrange any psychiatric treatment he may or may not need, or both, is lamentable. As far as can be ascertained, he has no income beyond sales of kits which he does not provide, which is illegal. It is not just a matter of protecting yourself by avoiding any dealings with Paul Dunn, though; a whole tranche of kits and products are being denied to us by this situation. You can google him and click on the results for Ian Kirk, then to the rest of the website, and there is a postal address in Oake, Taunton, and a telephone number but no email address. My impression is that he doesn't have a computer or has not paid his broadband bill.

From posts on RMWeb it does seem that he has managed on at least one occasion to send the Bailiffs away empty-handed when they went calling. So fair to assume he hasn't lost all his faculties, unless they are selective loss of course. On a separate note, I was a little disappointed to see that he had been allowed to attend RailWells as a "Trader" last year, though judging by the stock on offer it appeared to be the dregs of days long-gone. Hi, I lost money when a small model railway supplier failed to supply a kit and subsequently disappeared off the model railway radar. Many exhibitions are organised years in advance and unless an exhibition manager gets info from trading standards or another official body that an offence has been committed they may be reluctant to disinvite a trader. Take care. Nick
