'CHARD
Oh damned shame - I saw the breaking news much earlier, but it hadn't been fact checked, seemingly, and Twitter was claiming his death was fake news. This is a real shame, especially after the recent death of another keyboard maestro, Dave Greenfield of The Stranglers. Rest in Peace.

RMweb Gold Hroth Posted May 6, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 6, 2020 Kraftwerk performed at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool in the mid-70s, Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys were in the audience, (eventual) result Orchestral Manoeuvers in the Dark. Florian Schneider was a massive influence for the UK electronic music movement. RIP 1
RMweb Premium Gwiwer Posted May 6, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 6, 2020 Huetter and Schneider proved that inventive and creative music didn't start and end in underground clubs. Most of us will be familiar with Autobahn but just listening to the remaining tracks on that album, never mind many more , gives an idea of the inventiveness and unique flavour of Kraftwerk. My personal favourite would be the delightfully simple but seldom-heard Kometenmelodie 2. RIP Florian Schneider.
