gazer117
Hi, as the title suggests, I'm looking to replace some plastic buffers on some Parkside 16ton Dia 1/108 mineral wagons with cast ones from from LMS. Which would be the correct ones to use as I can't quite work out the correct (or most common) ones to use as a couple say that they were used on mineral wagons ? Waveydavey
1’6” long buffers with 13 inch heads would have been fitted to most, if not all, unfitted 16 ton coal wagons. Two and four rib buffers would have been fitted according to what was available or the preferred choice at the works that built them. As always, a good perusal of Paul Bartlett’s site will help you to find the types you want.
RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted May 18, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 18, 2020 Contacting LMS will elicit a response to your requirements if the website listing doesn't clarify, Dave is very helpful. I use B003 primarily on my 16 tonners, but as my learned friend above says, consult a picture, you'll find all sorts of mixing and matching going on, couplings included. Mike. gazer117
Great thank you. I'll get some B003 in that case. It seems like the "standard" dia 1/108 are anything but standard !
