w124bob
AS the owner of three D186 peaks, I've obviously changed ID's on two and with a domino dot version out next year further will be added. Here is my method, the inner headcode holder is removed being careful as the retaining screws are tiny. A tiny dab of wood glue on the end of the screwdrive is useful at this stage(and for reassembly). Pop out the existing headode by pushing from the back and put to one side. I found it almost impossible to get the print off so I cut fresh ones from clear plastic, Baccy loco plastic sleeve. Cut a strip at least 30mm x 5mm for the two and trim by trial and error to about 13mm x 3.6mm . Use a black sharpie marker for the black as this is translucent, I don't glue mine back into the holder as I make it a just tight fit. I use Precision Labels BL41B, link at end of the post. The cut digits are glued on with a tiny smear of Gorilla glue. Here is a finished one and the factory 1N80 for comparison.
