Marmight
It’s probably been well documented, but the elderly Atlas F9 units don’t like Peco points and tend to ride up and over the check rails and frogs. Is this a back to back measurement problem or is it something else? Is there an easy or fairly easy way of fixing it?  Cheers  Martin
brossard
I don't know the F9, but you should check the b2b. Ought to be 29.2mm. If the flanges themselves are wide, there's another issue. Finescale flange width is supposed to be 0.75mm.  John
F-UnitMad
I found that my Atlas F-unit didn't like Peco track full stop - the flanges look a bit bigger than usual finescale - they're larger than the flanges on the Atlas Plymouth wheels. I got a drop-in replacement set from North West Short Line, as in this post from a recent thread about the very same issue... Of course I got mine some years ago, when £1 = $2, and shipping from the USA wasn't at silly prices.   this might not be of much help now.... jasond
From memory the replacement NWSL wheels are the best way, but the insulated wheelsets give in to determined slight twisting to increase the back to back a bit. The driving wheel flanges are diecast/nickel-silver plated, so can be filed thinner, but that may start the plating lifting?
