spikey
Does anybody please know how on earth you contact Amazon regarding an issue that isn't among any of the options offered on its help pages or "contact us"? I just got a parcel delivered addressed to me when I haven't ordered anything from them recently.
RMweb Premium TheQ Posted April 8, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 8, 2021 Contact us right at the bottom, go for chat, which is on line, what ever you put in the box for what is your problem they'll ask you again anyway.
spikey
Thanks. That's handy to know but by a complete fluke I've just solved the mystery. It's an item I ordered on Ebay from a seller with no obvious Amazon connection that's been delivered by Amazon van in a Prime carton. If it wasn't for the tracking number provided by the seller matching one of the numbers on the box, I'd still be scratching my head. Weird or what?
Dieselbob
Hi I've had that a few times from Ebay sellers, I guess they are an Amazon Marketplace seller too and using Amazon boxes. I don't think Amazon would be too happy if the found out. Cheers Bob 1
ejstubbs
I believe some eBay sellers are actually using Amazon Shipping for their deliveries. Note that spikey said that his parcel was delivered by an Amazon van: it wasn't just an Amazon box deliverd by Royal Mail or a.n.other random parcel delivery company. (Note also that Amazon-branded vans aren't necessarily owned and run by Amazon: they may well be operated by 'Service Delivery Partners' of Amazon Logistics. Another example how the big river's insidious tentacles are getting everywhere... Then again, there's some so-called 'delivery' companies out there I'd happily see driven out of business by Amazon - or anyone else, for that matter.) Quarryscapes
You've been dropshipped something the seller bought cheap on amazon and sold on to you for a profit. Had someone do that to me recently, sent it them back and then bought it on Amazon £30 cheaper! 1 1
RMweb Gold Jonboy Posted April 8, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 8, 2021 (edited) It is also possible for sellers to outsource all their warehousing and distribution to Amazon under the FBA (fulfilled by Amazon) arrangements. It is often used by overseas sellers. Edited April 8, 2021 by Jonboy

I think not. I paid a total of £5.81 to the seller via Ebay. Cheapest on Amazon for the same item is £4.03 plus delivery.
Ruffnut Thorston
I ordered a DVD from an EBay seller, who bought it from Amazon cheaper than I paid them... Prime next day delivery...It was sent as. “Gift”! Yes, I checked Amazon after I received it. Full marks to the eBay seller...black mark to me for not checking Amazon as well that evening ! Makes things a bit difficult for those who prefer not to give Amazon any business, though. You could always have sent the DVD back and ordered it from Amazon yourself. The seller has to refund basic postage (per the 2013 Consumer Contracts Regulations) so unless you paid extra for express delivery you wouldn't be out of pocket.
Ruffnut Thorston
There just wasn’t that much in it really. Also, there was nothing “wrong” with the listing. So, just not worth the hassle really.
great central
Similar to what happened with me several years ago. Ordered a CD from an apparently independent record store, price was reasonable enough and it wasn't available in the likes of HMV. Paid extra for next day delivery as I was going away and wanted it to listen to while driving. It didn't arrive in time and when it did, it was straight from Amazon! On checking Amazon I found it cheaper but as I have an aversion to using them I raised a query with the seller about the late delivery. They simply sent another by the same route with a return bag for one of them if both turned up. They both did, eventually, by which time I'd decided I may as well have two copies anyway.
