I'm looking to fit some indicator LEDs (red and green) to my n-gauge layout. There's two places I want them that could be tricky - or at least there's probably a really good way to do it that I haven't thought of.

First location: At the entrance to my staging area. This needs four sets of lights, each one positioned in line with a siding. Framework is 2mm MDF.

Second location a lighting gantry. I hadn't originally intended to fit LEDs this soon otherwise I wouldn't assembled the gantries, lol. There will be two sets of LEDs on these. putting them on the ground is another option but seems a shame given that the gantries serve no other purpose. The gantry girder box section is 6mm per side.

I'm not expecting a 'just use one of these' response (though that would awesome if someone makes an LED mounting thingummy that was acceptable size for n-gauge, lol). Also whilst looking fantastic would be nice this layout is about building experience as much as anything else so function and the fun of the wiring is more important than looks. My own thoughts are just to mount the LEDs on two pieces of card (sandwiching the leads and wires) between each piece then glue the card sandwich in place.

Just interested what suggestions other more experienced modellers can come up with.

Thanks.
