Prof Klyzlr
Dear RMWebbers, A quick question for the RMWeb luminaries... I've been smitten by the Kibri/Veissmann 16100/26100 Robel Track Maintainance Vehicle, and understand that the difference between the 1xxxx and 2xxxx versions is "kit" VS RTR, but what does that really mean? - How "completely knocked down" is the "kit" version? - Does it include a motor and mechanism? - If Yes, is the mech complete, or does it need assembly? - Does the "kit" include a DCC decoder? Given the price difference down here in Aust, I'm tempted to go for the kit version, but want to have a bit of an idea of what I'm jumping-into before throwing $$$ anywhere... Many Thanks in Advance for any and all wisdom... Happy Modelling, Aim to Improve, Prof Klyzlr
Dungrange
The instructions show that the kit is definitely a kit https://viessmann-modell.com/media/pdf/83/1e/07/16100uvxDorKHVOPhV.pdf It doesn't look as though it has a motor and decoder, but then I'm not sure whether the ready to run version does either. At the price, I suspect it's just like a wagon and you'll have to tow it as part of a train.
TWG
The ready to run version does have a motor with a digital decoder and sound module. duff man
I have the rtr version in OBB livery with sound etc. It's a stunning little model. If you can consider running to the asking price I'm sure you wont be disappointed, the moving jib is a work of art to witness. I have added a four wheel wagon in orange livery to compliment it.
