KevWright
I'm about to start on a couple of GWR 0-6-0's and I can't get hold of my preferred gearbox, the Roadrunner+, as HLK aren't back in business yet. Looking at alternatives, there's the Comet GB5 which can have a drive extender added that seems to give the same sort of configuration possibilities, and the Branchlines Slimline 2SL box which might also give me what I need. Just wondering if anyone has experience of either of these, before I spend my hard-earned dosh? Many thanks in advance. Kev
Barclay
I have always liked the Branchlines Multibox with its variety of axle locations, although from what you say you may require something slimmer?
hayfield
Comet do a 2 stage gearbox, I have one which is very good. Markits also produce 2 stage gearboxes, look for the newer gearsets with smaller worm gears though
Jrtal
I have assembled a couple of the Comet GB5's and am very happy with them. Functional, with solid looking brass gears. John....
