Questions regarding my approach to moulding an object with through-holes.

Hi all, first post here.

 

I have a 3D print that i'd like to make a mould of so i can cast it in various materials.2_way-Module.stl

 

I'm thinking i need a central, solid cylinder as a barrier plus two other cylinders going through the two outer pipes and connecting with the centre cylinder ?

 

Any help greatly appreciated as it's giving me brain strain!

I've gone with a 3D printing solution :

1. In your CAD programme, make a box around the object.
2. Do a Boolean subtract of the object from the box.
3. Add pour hole, vent etc ...

Let's see if the plan survives the battlefield!
