Main line in the midlands

After what seems like something of a drought a purple patch of steam on the main line around where I live has happily occupied recent weeks 

 

First up 61306 on a Steam Dreams trip to Stratford

The Stanier theme continues with 46100 Royal Scot at Lea Hall on its way to Salisbury , again a Saphos Trains tour

five days later and it is an interloper on the GWR main line heading from Paddington to the Severn Valley Railway

(you wait ages and get a Scot twice in a week (not complaining) 

 

The last two weeks of the Vintage Trains Shakespeare Express were steam and welcome GWR motive power
