Hi I've been looking to model one of these vans in 4mm in the BR era. The instructions supplied suggest using Modelmaster sheet 8196, but after a night of googling I've not found any information or a supplier for this decal sheet anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas if this is a mis-print and if so where i might find some BR era transfers for this van ?

5 minutes searching reveals this. No, I've never purchased any.

Sheet S2B/C provides transfers for 75 wagons and covers the appropriate kits from C57 onwards, except C96 (which is included on Sheet S2A).

The wagon diagrams covered by Sheet S2B/C are :-

BR : 1/420, 1/472, 1/585, 1/638, 1/645, 1/647;

GWR : P22;

LMS : 663, 664, 1664, 1666, 1667, 1670, 1676, 1885, 1986, 2131;

LNER : 3, 38, 105, 192;

SR : 1316, 1347, 1349, 1355, 1375, 1390, 1410, 1426, 1543, 1560, 1598, 1599, 1610, 1761,1775.

As many of the wagons covered by these sheets carried regional and area allocation lettering, we have produced six different regional versions of each sheet, so that you can letter your wagons with allocations appropriate to your modelling prototype. (Note that some of the wagons in question were not allocated to every region).

PLEASE STATE WHICH REGION YOU REQUIRE WHEN ORDERING :-

WR, SR, LMR, ER, NER or SCR.

2mm., 3mm., 3.5mm. &  4mm. scale price is £17.00 per sheet; £34.00 for both sheets.

I think it might be an old sheet number. Some of which went to Old Time Workshop.

The 8XXX series were like the ones you currently get in the Peco/Parkside kits with about three sets of numbers.

A lot of the small Mini Packs were put on a bigger sheet, there is one listed very vaguely as MM4619 ex L.M.S. & L.N.E.R. Merchandise Vans, Unfitted, fitted.

However look in the Small Suppliers section and be aware that Modelmaster have been having problems with deliveries.
