YES I have used one for about 10/12 years and the club I belonged to used one for a 40*20ft 4 track layout with out a booster and at times there were 4 locos running but not Heljan large diesels, so you will not have any problem with your layout.

Mine is excellent for multiple locos running at the same time. I’m very much a fan of Gaugemaster and would add that generally all their kit is reliable.

 

However, I model in OO so the draw is going to be different.

Don't forget that in the case of the Prodigy family of products, it's not "their kit" as such, but rebadged kit bought in from another company.

That other company doesn't have the best of reputations in its home market.

Regardless, Gaugemaster do have an excellent reputation for back-up and after-sales support.

Thats Interesting, thanks @Ron Ron Ron whilst I knew it was a rebadged item, I didnt know about the reputation of the US company.
