Having splashed out on an un-numbered Heljan 03 on offer from Hattons, I'd like to paint the bufferbeams yellow to match what I both saw and photographed in the 70's.

I wanted to portray a low numbered loco with a cone chimney, and my choice was limited to one with a black bufferbeam, but I want them yellow.

Does anyone know of a good colour match for the yellow used by Heljan?

It will hopefully end up both faded and weathered.

Thanks

Hi Jeff, I used Railmatch post 1984 yellow, technically the wrong colour but a good match,  see below on my 03
