Fredo
Hi, does anyone have numbers for the GUV formations that used to work on the Surbiton to Okehampton Car Carrier services in the early 1960’s as I am trying to recreate in train in OO gauge. Thanks Fred

Thanks Fred Fred, Do you mean standard GUVs, or the ones built on second-hand underframes which came from ex-GER stock displaced by electrification. I can't help on the former, but David Larkin gives the following for the rebuilds:- E71002E, E71003E, E71008E, E71009E, E71011E, E71012E, E71013E, E71015E, E71016E, E71018E, E71030E, and E71035E to E71099E. Only some worked on the Okehampton service; others were used on the Anglo-Scottish services until the Newton-Chambers double-deckers arrived. E71038E was photographed at Exeter Central on 4th September 1958.
