A map of the Great Western railway. That is the real one from the 1920's or 30's that used to be found in frames in main stations. I have been given a paper copy and its quite flimsy, and Im looking for inspiration as to what to do with it. Its quite a large thing.....

If you want to keep it, I'd frame it with a plain wooden varnished frame to support and protect it and hang it up, ideally in the toilet where people have nothing else to do but study it and bask in the wonder of it's Great Westernry, unless it's too big for that.  You may want to sell it on, as these sorts of antiques are prolly worth something to someone but I'd have no idea how much, or perhaps donate it to a heritage railway or museum.

I was given it as a present and no way Im getting rid. Its not like a pair of reindeer socks in July or something. Only £15 on ebag. I havnt got a suitable loo wall, but nice idea.

Agreed, it definitely needs to be mounted and framed to ensure decent preservation. and this is how it would have been displayed in a waiting room or booking hall.  How big is it?  Hallway/stairwell?  Loan to heritage railway/museum?
