Pandora
Pass through the arches and there is the Southwark Park closed in 1915: https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1462041 During the remodel of London Bridge, Southwark Park became an access point for staff, not many signs of its original role as a passenger station Edited July 29, 2022 by Pandora 1

Unfortunately only the first arch, the remains of the second one have been removed. If you walk through the roadside arch you can also see the two bricked up doorways that also went into the pub. I can remember at an early age the smell of beer as you walked past. I think it closed in the early 1960s. These were the first arches to be let in the new London and Greenwich Railway viaduct in 1834. The wall on the right hand side was the back of the Rotherhithe Road coach sidings. P.S I see that the road sweepers have been busy along here !!!! All the best Ray 1
