Lighting Voltage

Morning all

I'm currently upgrading several of my loco's which will include additional lighting (car style headlights on 24s/26s) , I have ripped out all electrical gubbins and replaced circuit boards with ESU 51958 Plux 22 Adapter Boards , what i need to know is what sort of voltage range is used for the lighting functions as I have purchased some of the prewired LED's from Amazon which operate on 6-18v DC and have a resistor built in , would these be suitable?

Assume the voltage at the function outputs will be the same as the track voltage, less a couple of volts.

A single resistor for 6 - 18V operation will result in some variation in brightness, at different voltages. DCC track voltage will typically be towards the upper end of the range, but could be higher.

They're cheap, so try one. If they work for you, fine, otherwise you may need to replace/augment the resistors. Add an extra resistor for dimmer, replace with a lower value for brighter).
