theamrmodelrailway
Hi Everyone! I hope you're having a good start to the week. I wanted to ask a question about engine sheds, hard standings, non hard standings... I'm recreating (on a much smaller scale) these engine sheds, and as far as i knew, engine sheds were hard standing. These illustrated seem not to be... (which, i appreciate, are drawings that were not known for their accuracy). So I wondered if anyone here had some good information about the scenics 'surrounding' the engine sheds, the dirt, the tracks, and so on... i have had a look through this site but there is alot of content! (in the meantime, i'll keep looking...) best Mark
divibandit
Hi Mark, I hope this helps, there are 4 tracks from the gates of the enclosure to about 10 feet (3m) short of the depot doors. This small area is concreted. The depot also services locos daily. Steve Edited December 15, 2022 by divibandit Better photo
