Diecast Bugatti Railcar

Recommended Posts

Please any thoughts on made what IMHO looks like a simple diecast representation of the 1930s Bugatti Railcar?

Someone on another site tells me that I am quite wrong and that the model is of 3-car loco hauled train

Can you clarify your question? I've not had my first cup of coffee yet!

There was a photo of a diecast railcar in the initial post yesterday, but it's not there today.  Very strange.......

I can't throw any light on what it is, but I thought it was probably inspired (if that be an appropriate word) by the Bugatti railcar rather than being anything approaching a model of it.  A rather interesting relic nonetheless.

I think that the original post was duplicated and the image is in the other one. I don't think that it is a Bugatti, but I have a vague memory of seeing a black-and-white film of similar vehicles which were designed so that one could simply drive over the top of the other in order to get past (hence the odd shape and apparent guide rails on the roof).

Worlds Fair, America, 191x ? I've seen that too.

Well I wouldn't want to be travelling as a passenger in something like that......
