A couple of 1999 slides I've just scanned show 4CIG units with number 1 marked on the end window pillar and a whopping great yellow First Class band on the roof ( where a normal band might clash with Connex livery ) .... Looks like they denote that the other DTCL has been declassified but anyone know anything about these markings ? - how widespread were they ?

I believe that these were only applied to those 4-Cig units operated by Connex South-Central..... others can probably confirm if it was applied to all their units, or just a handful.... I think it was at least applied to all Connex liveried units.....
