RMweb Premium RichardT Posted August 26, 2024 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 26, 2024 (edited) £11 for the pair including UK postage. The classic two-volume professional autobiography, with illustrations and drawings, of one of Britain’s leading locomotive engineers from his early days on the Lancashire & Yorkshire through working as assistant to William Stanier and then to his senior management involvement in the BR Standards. The first-hand account, complete with prejudices and biases (!), of someone who was there at the key moments. See the photos for contents. First published in 1965 & 1966, these are the Ian Allan 1974 paperback editions. Fading on the spines and slight edge browning but otherwise clean, tight copies with no damage and no loose pages.
