Leamington & Warwick MRS Clubhouse - Grand Opening Celebration Weekend 7th/8th Sept

A full two days of activities, with club layouts operating on both days. I'm delighted to be bringing Brief Encounter Monochrome which will be joined by a Titfield Thunderbolt  layout to continue the film theme. There will also be a work-in-progress TT gauge layout, a fine collection of large-scale Bassett Lowke and tin plate rolling stock from Steve Burrows, and The Heart of England Narrow Gauge Modellers will be displaying a variety of the narrow-gauge scales now available on the market. The newly extended clubhouse will be officially opening by Pete Waterman OBE on Saturday. On Sunday, there will be a Steam Gala event with members of the Knightcote Boat Club operating steam models on the lake adjacent to the outdoor railway track. The Midland Area Group of the G1 Model Railway Association will be running their extensive range of live steam and battery power locos and rolling stock outside.

Saturday 10am to 4.30pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.  Refreshments on site.

Scales represented are N, 2mmFS, 00, P4 and O inside and Scale 1 and G outside with three 90m outside running tracks showing off a number of battery and live steam locos.
