Just voted, Not seen it in the list but an GC/LNER N5 would be nice

Hello David

We go to great lengths to give you Advance Notice of The Poll and provided a full copy of The Contents last week, repeated today.

The N5 was listed but as:

MSLR Parker N4/N5 0-6-2T (69225-69247, 69250-69370)

All done. I couldn’t see an option to vote for a 109 Wickhams unit? Perhaps I missed it. Also, would be good to see the Thompson BZ as an NPCCS option for next year.

Either way, big thank you for running the poll again, it’s much appreciated!

I didnt see an option for a Class 107 DMU for use on Scottish lines (unless I missed it). I know one was produced a few years ago by Bachmann for Harburn Hobbies (which maybe why it was thought not necesary), but that model was just a renumbering of a 108, and not completely accurate as a result (ok, not very accurate at all!)

Hello NXEA!

The Class 109 was deleted due to Low Polling over many years, and we only have 'limited space'. You are welcome to suggest it for inclusion in 2026, but we only accept suggestions made in reasonable accordance with our notes within the Q&A (which you can see on the PDF on the first post of this thread).

The Thompson BZ is listed under Category 13: Coaches, Passenger Brake Vans & TPO: LNER (exc Scottish Companies)

Hello John R

I can't see that we have ever listed Class 107. You are welcome to suggest it for 2026, but please see my note above.

Added some ticks to the form.

Significantly BR-SR/WR based as my interests lie there but did I miss the LMS-style offset-gangway sleepers or are they just not listed?

Hi Brian . Just voted . When going through the Scottish section , where most of my interest is I noted there was no Caledonian 4-6-0 , specifically I was looking for MacIntosh 4-6-0 Cardean , surely an archetypal Caledonian locomotive , and one which I thought may  stand a chance of actually being produced . Was it not  popular enough to make the cut - and if not , how will it ever get in ?

Just wondering what happened to the Class 04 diesel shunter (the only diesel I still want).  I know Rapido's one was cancelled - have I missed a subsequent announcement?

Hello Downer

A good point!

It looks like we may have deleted due the Rapido announcement but failed to re-instate it after cancellation. Leave it with me (there is no need to go through the 'suggestion process').

Hello Rick

We used to list those Sleepers but were deleted to save space as they were Low Polling.

You are welcome to suggest them for 2026 but please see Q&A in the PDF for details.

Hello Legend

I have just checked back on the records and can't see that we have ever listed it. As you will see, the 'Scottish' category was at 'maximum load' of 45 items this year, so it's a matter of 'shoe-horning' things in where we can.

You are welcome to suggest it for 2026 but please follow the process described in the Q&A.

Many thanks

I do hate 'I've thought of something really obscure and would like to chuck a spanner in the works' day. 😁

Not as much as poor Brian though! Yet he still patiently answers every one, whereas I would just do a multi-quote with a link to the instructions 😁

Thanks Andy and Bucoops

Indeed, there are times when matters are 'frustrating' but I take the view that 'keeping an open mind' is vital. We have found that we have inadvertently missed a couple of good items and there are one or two really good suggestions coming through.

Thanks to Brian and the Poll Team once again.

Just for the record would like to note the absence of a GER wagon type, due to the very late announcement of two variants by Rapido and as explained below. It does appear that Diag.55/73 7-plank (as one listing) might have been the better alternative.

The wishlist poll is what it is, and therefore paradoxically not the best place for wishlisting of items not included.  I'm pleased with this year's, which includes some items I've been quietly but persistently lobbying for for some time.  As for other items I want (and these are getting fewer over time as the general RTR biodiversiyt increases), some may appear in future polls and even in reality; in the meantime, my thanks to Brian and the boys and hopes that the items I want will get themselves into production.

We live in an age of wonders, and many recent RTR items are stuff I never thought I'd see produced in a million years, never mind to the excellent standard that seems to be the default deze daze.  This is clearly unsustainable in the long term for steam-era stuff, as there will come a point when new models will have to be of items so obscure that measuring up will be difficult and demand tiny.  I would not expect to see a twin-set gangwayed TVR auto train as used on the Porthcawl branch 1953-7 in production any time soon, for example, and do not feel it is reasonable to suggest one in this topic.  I'd buy one like a shot, though...

I had thought that might be the case. I can’t offer enough evidence to meet the criteria for 2026. Which means that the theoretical purchase funding had they been produced can be reassigned to something else on the wish-list.
