But it did get me quite eager to do some modelling. It's gone together very well so far, the splashers over the front bogie were a bit tricky though. I've just fitted pick ups to the motor so a test run is in order then we'll go on from there. I wonder how long this bout of eagerness will continue? I'll let you know in due course. It needs a lot more weight in it, nice long boiler to fill with lead and also hang the tender so to put weight on to rear drivers. Better late than never. First up shows the CSB on the chassis, using the LRM horn blocks (very nice) and just letting the beam rest onto the bearing instead of running through another handrail knob as I think Ted S. suggests. Being LRM horn guides they locate in a slot so the bearings don't wander along the axle. Next shows the front bogie (upside-down). It pivots on a central bolt, with the axle beams also pivoting, and a wire soldered across the ends acting like a torsion bar. (I hope) I can always file some more off the sides of the horn guides if needed.
