Shunters Trucks

Hi Guys,

 

I've been looking for suitable Shunting Trucks for my shunting locos on my layout.

 

I know you can get GWR shunters trucks from South East Finecast and Cambrain Models, but I'm looking specificly for Southern Region and London Midland Region trucks.

 

Does anyone know of kits of these trucks or kits I can modify to produce suitable models

I don't think I've ever seen a photo of a purpose-built 'Shunter's Truck' of anything apart from GWR origin. The 03 shunters on the Eastern Region used an assortment of Lowfits and Conflats, but these were chiefly intended to actuate track circuits, rather than carry around shunters' poles, packing, jacks etc.

I've come across this picture of a Southern Region Shunters Truck at Clapham Junction on the SEMG website:

It was one of two that were converted from Adams Tender frames in 1931

Crikey- looks like something Noah found when he spring-cleaned the Ark! Looks like that would be a case of finding a suitable tender and leaving the middle wheelset and axle-guards off.
