johnst
It looks like it is an exported 08 returned home from Holland. Pete I think this is the ex Army Department loco from the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway. It was built in Derby in 1944 to the standard LMS design which became BR class 11. It is not an 08. The 08's where based on the LMS design but had larger wheels.
ahardy
Hi there, Yes it is the 11 from LHR. It was delivered to us last week by mistake whilst the railway was closed. The haulier has a key to the carpark where we load/unload locos. Was quite a surprise when we arrived on site to find it on Saturday morning. All being well it should have been collected and on its way to the correct address today.
