The PBA Tiger is the Kernow model.

With the TIAs, there are at least 3 different diagrams of what are generically known to modellers as 'Silver Bullets', the Dapol model is only suitable for one of those (the silver ones) the others (including the Blue ECC branded version) are a different design.

Hi there,

Just a quick question regarding these wagons before I order 2 of them.

From my memory, and wanting to model my layout around 1998-2000 which of these liveries is suitable?

I can't remember when Imerys took over EEC and also can't remember seeing white Tigers around this time.

Thanks, Mark

Hmmm

7 clay tigers plus a peak on the front, just need a points failure at Lifford and they would go through New Street wouldn't they?

Cheers

Jim

Unfortunately neither of those releases are suitable for your modelling period. the First of the JIAs did arrive in 2000, but from what I've been told didnt enter service until 2001. certainly I havent found photos of a service train in 2000 yet.

The white livery on the tigers is much too old, will have to wait until they bring out the blue ECC version (I assume that it will follow at some point.....)

Thanks Rich,

I thought as much.

Will have to order 2 Imerys wagons any way to portray a modern feel.

I can remember the JIA things when they were fresh into service, and im 90% sure i can recall the odd white-jobby still in blazey yard (whether in service or not, im not sure but id say they were..) and that would be 99/2000/01....

Possibly these white Imerys JIAs - http://ukrailrollingstock.fotopic.net/p39122713.html - ran on the Channel Tunnel working, last seen May 2006.
