Ragtag
Scotswood Bridge is a small fictional servicing depot for Royal Mail and RES rolling stock. Set in the early 90's, the depot can house up to two coaches or locomotives, with the yard pilot stored offscene. The layout itself is built in a set of small Ikea drawers and designed so that the vast majority of components go back into the drawer unit (the exception so far being the tunnel). There are two scenic drawers and one 'fiddle yard' drawer which never quite seems to be long enough! The jury is still out on whether or not to add a small fueling point on the siding. Apologies for the poor quality of some photos - not always easy to get a crisp picture on my phone. Construction of the retaining walls and inlaid track in progress: An out-of-era shunter tests the height of the inlaid track: View from the embankment top: View from the tunnel mouth: The PW team hard at work: View across the servicing area: View across the servicing area from the opposite side: A maintenance worker takes 5 whilst awaiting the next arrival: The foreman inspects an as yet non-existent notice on the inside of the 'toolshed' door. This is awaiting extensive weathering: A close-up of the paint job on the stone and brickwork, also awaiting weathering:
