pwr
I received the Middleton Press book and very interesting it is. It contains a 1922 trackplan of Southminster and it is easy to work out the trackplan as it is now... What I'm looking for is the trackplan between 1962 and 1965 - after the nuke siding was laid but before the Goods Shed was closed for business. Cheers, Pete. Pete According to a small piece in this months Railway Modeller there was a plan of Southminster in the November 2005 magazine. They may have done a prospective layout feature. I am not sure where you would get a copy though. I don't have one or I would send it to you Paul R

Not much use to Pete really; it was a Plan of the Month with a heavily stylised sketch of the line from Wickford to Southminster and an equally stylised shelf-style layout plan of Fambridge and Southminster set in the mid-2000s. definate maybe
http://www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html has a 1973 1-2500 scale plan. A bit later than your requested time frame but it appears the goods shed was still in place so its possible that not much else had changed
trisonic
That's a good site! Only problem is that I can only access one undated map on there that shows just the station building...I suspect that like the BBC site it has restricted access to us foreigners.... Many thanks, Pete.
