Handbuilt N gauge track??- progress?

Recommended Posts

On the old forum there was an interesting topic about experimentation using the 2mm F/S Easitrack combined with hand built points in 9mm ie multi gauge track for running R-T-R stock without having to rewheel to 2mm F/s standards. I'm very interested in this project and the possible availability of components for this system. Has there been any progress?

Hi

This was posted by Noel Leaver on the N Gauge Yahoo group on 2 December 2009.

I expect to have a small number of assembly jigs for a 1:7 crossing with the

flangeway correct for NMRA N standards before Christmas.

If anyone is interested get in touch with me off-list, price is likely to be

in the ??6 - 8 area including postage. Note you will need to be a member of

the 2mm SA to get the point base, chairs, rail, point operating mechanisms,

and crossing filing jig (which is the same as for the 1:7 2mm points). In

due course I expect these jigs to be available via the 2mm shop.
