43110andyb
I designed these few circuits to use on our club layout a couple of years ago. We are going to use railroad & Co now, but they may be of interest to anyone wishing to steer clear of DCC signal control. The cicuitry is for use with controlled signals using a momentary switch to clear the signal. The aux contact of the IRDOT 2 then puts the signal back to red when the train passes. The IRDOT should be placed just a few inches past the signal. The system can be modified to operate 3/4 aspect signals, this is a bit more complicated as indication from the next signal along may be required to set the correct aspect required. Route setting can also be achieved with aux point swiches to light feathers etc.
