GWR Horsebox Decals

Recommended Posts

Good morning, I am building the Parkside Dundas kit of the GWR Horsebox in 4mm scale and am having trouble locating decals for this model. Have looked at the Fox range but did not see anything that seemed to cover this van (may have missed them) and have been looking on-line. Has anyone out there built this model and what did you use?, I am looking for GWR era not BR. Thanks for any info.

Mike

Just another vote for the HMRS range here, they are very good and personally I find them much less fiddly to work with than waterslide transfers. Highly recommended.

(PS: Did not wish to duplicate what Il Grifone said, but in cases like this it may be useful for the OP to know if others agree. However, does the little green "+" button only mean "thank you" or does it also mean "I agree"? Oh well, as long as our problems aren't bigger than that wink.gif ).

Of course theres a RMweb member ,John Isherwood of Cambridge Custom Transfers that does a small range of transfers suitable for some GW brown vehicles.Although they don't do the horsebox sheet C103 has a few others of interest on including a Hydra G14 and fruit van Y3 diagram.

I forgot to mention they also stick (I've had waterslide fail to do so) and have little/no carrier film.
