maddogwhitey
so. more than a year of lurking and questioning im going to have a go at building something small. Because of the whole house situation at the moment im going to build something small (about 2 foor by one foot) i can incorparate into a larger layout later, until then it will sit nicley on a shelf The Layout Its going to be a medium sized goods/transfer shed set in the GWR/WR area based loosley on the one at Exeter. It will be a two road shed, one road being standard gauge the other being NG. The idea is that this shed will later form part of a country or suburban terminus and interchange between a standard gauge and NG line set somewhere in Devon, perhaps the south. The back story is going to be along the line of the NG being built by GWR for much the same reason as the lynton and barnstaple railway was built by the SR in the north. It will transport goods, probally wood maybe coal or livestock? and passengers. the Standard guage peice will be quite substantial eventually leading to the mainline..havent thought that far yet Im hoping for enough space on this first board for the shed and a little bit of running room outside the shed..see how it progresses. maddogwhitey
just realised..meant to be in layout not 2010..my bad also had a thought as to location, I came across this from a model someone else had done of totnes and the area around. I plotted what if the totnes to dartmouth shown in this drawing was NG?
