Cleveland Model Railway Club is holding an open day at its club room in the B-HIVE Centre, Skelton Indusrtrial Estate, Cleveland TS12 2 LQ. on SATURDAY SEPT 22nd from 10.00am until 4.00pm. Open Day Membership is £1.00. The Club's ever popular 4mm/OO gauge layout JOWETT JUNCTION will be up and running along with the mainlines on our, under construction, 2mm, modern image, model of NORTHALLERTON.

Work in progress can also be seen on our other new layouts - HAMBELTON, 4mm/OO gauge, PICTON, 4mm/P4 gauge and Farnby 7mm/Finescale. There are also a number of members layouts under construction in the club room, and it is also hoped to have some of these running too. There will also be modelling demonstrations and displays.

There is free parking, disabled access - but not to our new mezzanine floor - and reasonably priced refreshments, along with a tombola and a second hand stand.

Do come along and see us. New members welcomed.

A reminder that Cleveland Model Railway Club is holding its open day this Saturday, the 22nd September 10.00am to 4.00pm. I will be there working on the Club's new 7mm/Finescale layout - FARNBY. If you are visiting do come and say hello. The layout is on the new mezzanine floor, along with PICTON the 4mm/P4 gauge layout which is also "a work in progress". There is plenty to see.

Saturday's local weather forecast is sunny but not too warm, so why not also take a trip into Saltburn, have a bracing walk along the beach and the pier, followed by fish and chips and/or an ice cream! Even better, leave the family there, and come and enjoy a peaceful hour or two with us!!

JOWETT JUNCTION tested and up and running. East Coast Mainline through NORTHALLERTON likewise along with the line off to Middlesbrough and the costal route. There is a members's layout operational too, together with one "under test". Club Room has had a good tidy up, tea and coffee laid in - the ladies are bringing the freshly baked cakes in the morning. Weather still looking good, so hopefully a good day will be had by all.
