yorkie_pudd
A fiddly time consuming job Nick but definitely look better with windows, the full transfer set looks the biz and once weathered by you will be another great project finished by you. armleyroad
The RHTT is fantastic, top quality.
rs4
Thanks for the likes, much appreciated. This is sort of addictive...the transfer application.... Yes it's fiddly, yes it's time consuming but mannnnnn each one adds to the authenticity of the project. Must get the vac out later.....
rs4
I mustn't forget the gypsums, no work done today but here is the prototypical inspirational shot. Nearing Hitchin on the ECML. I'll be looking for my set to end up like this:
yorkie_pudd
just DONT sneeze with that lot on the table Nick, but yes sometimes the most tedious repetitive work can be the most thrilling work to do. other times you cant leave the planet quick enough to finish the job. rs4
You know Ken, sneezes come in 3s for me, so that could be DISASTER !! Right, further solid 2 hours put in and the main transfers have been applied, just the little blighters left...or am I kidding myself ? armleyroad
You must have been busy, how many do you sell?
rs4
Hi Armleyroad As per a previous post, it was just a bit of a challenge: 1. See if I can do a better job than previous / hone skills /learn something 2. Do a few on a batch basis 3. I wanted maybe 3 for myself, if they came out and I was proud of them I might consider selling a couple. So far... Very pleased. Learned a bit, realise I can do basic kit building, painting and transfers - passable for me anyway ! Nick. Edited February 8, 2014 by rs4

yorkie_pudd
I`m starting to think nick is a automated production line the way you get so much done, looking a good size fleet now although I wouldn`t want to be the one who has to fill them all with a hose pipe :-/
rs4
My view of the world at present, a myriad of tiny signs to add !
Jack374
Brilliant work Nick...May try one of these one day... Looking at the last pic, are the transfers on the thin side as the NR logos appear to have a blueish tinge to them....or is it just me being picky/ camera or lighting angle etc..... Ta Jack. rs4
Hi Jack Deffo the camera / picture. There isn't any bleed through the transfers. Breaking for lunch... I can see them staring at me from here, beckoning me back over.....
rs4
Righto... It's the Sunday afternoon update. Pretty much had enough now, but I'm sure I'll have a tinker later..... Notes: 1. Door handles very small, how you'd file them I don't know, some sort of micro vice ! 2. The glue n glaze windows are a cruel close up, but I think I'll live with them, they are better in reality than a macro photo ! Door needs fixing on rather than just placing. 3. Yet to varnish transfers so may lose some of the carrier film in the process. Rail tec transfers nearly done......next it's the turn of the orange cantrail. Not looking forward to that...
