RMweb Gold ngtrains.com Posted May 17, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted May 17, 2016 We're off to the seaside this weekend. Its the annual SWING Model Railway Show in Felpham, Bognor Regis This is always a cracking show for narrow gauge and industrial models and it seems to get a bit bigger each years There's a good selection of layouts and extensive trade support. RMweb Premium Mike Bellamy Posted June 9, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 9, 2016 Sorry to say that I forgot to nag Paul about updating this more often and so we both missed out a bit of advance publicity for the O Gauge show at Doncaster last weekend. However I am in time to remind everyone that it's the 7mm Narrow Gauge show at Burton Town Hall on Saturday Details here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/103895-7mm-narrow-gauge-association-burton-2016-show/ The usual yellow road signs are up including one outside the station for those arriving by train (turn left and you can't miss it!) For those who haven't been before the main thing to remember is to ignore all the signs for the Town Centre as the Town Hall isn't in the centre - follow the signs for the Station instead. Free roadside parking in some areas near the Town Hall or pay and display nearby at the Travelodge hotel and station - they share the same car park but have different charges . RMweb Gold ngtrains.com Posted August 24, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 24, 2016 Our next outing will be to Guildex in Telford where we are on stand 83. We travel to Guildex with just the estate car for the stock so what we can carry is limited. If there is something you want to collect then please let me know in advance so I can make sure it get loaded. [space is further restricted because in my mind Telford is half way to Wales so i keep going and do a weeks driving on the FR so I have to get my driving kit in too]
RMweb Gold ngtrains.com Posted February 10, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted February 10, 2017 Just a week to go now until our next show outing at Narrow Gauge Southwest for the 25th and final show. They're going out with a bang by making this final show the biggest they've done with layouts from the past revisiting as well as a selection of new one plust the full range of traders. The problem is going to be fitting seeing it all into a single day We'll be there in our usual `naughty boy' spot outside the headmasters office http://ngsw.org.uk/

Poor Old Bruce
Burton Town Hall has a large Pay and Display Car Park and is close the the railway station Prospective visitors to the 7mmng do at Burton Town Hall on 10th June may be interested to know that this statement was correct when Paul posted it In 2013 but the council has since sold its car park to the local college to build on. The ramaining car park is much much smaller and the signage says it is for permit holders only although punters for the occasional Wednesday evening swapmeets are allowed to use it after regular users have gone home There are other car parks nearby and the Town Hall is not far from the railway station for rail users (regular visitors already know this of course). RMweb Gold ngtrains.com Posted October 10, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 10, 2021 Well, I've been proper rubbish at up dating this page with EDM Models information. I'll do the same as everyone else and blame Covid19/Brexit/Driver shortages etc Anyway, the shocking news is that we're attending our first exhibition in 18 months next Saturday 16th October although it is a bit of a limited event. 7mm Narrow Gauge Association Exhibition Saturday 16th October, The Town Hall, Burton upon Trent 10am – 4:30pm Please note this is an all ticket members only event. Tickets must be obtained in advance This is our first show since January last year. It is members only for the 7mm NGA but it’s our first chance to get together in 18 months. We’ll be there with limited sales and a comprehensive display. All I have to do now is remember where I stashed all the show stuff
